About Us:

Yoshin is a family run start-up in Oswego, NY. They have been involved in the martial arts world since the 70’s. David Hamm organized the first Karate club in central New York at Oswego State University. It was run by world famous Sensei Shihan Van Lenten.

Later on, senior student Rich Burger built his own dojo from the ground up in Oswego: Burger’s Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate. John Hamm, following in his father’s footsteps, trained under Mr. Burger and earned his black belt in 2002. He has been teaching children’s classes since 2000

Their lifelong interest in martial arts let the Hamm’s to form Yoshin. They specialize in a variety of martial arts related products that work great in the dojo and at home.
